The year is coming to a end, so It’s time to look at the hottest sneakers of 2018. It’s been an intense year, we started the year off with the Levi’s Jordan 4, to the recent release of the Union LA x Air Jordan 1s. It’s safe to say 2018 was a hell of a year and one of the best years in recent sneaker culture history. There were many OG colorways being retro’d, in addition to many brands and influencers collaborating with brands like Nike, Jordan and Adidas. Although December is nearing an end, we’ve went all the way back to the beginning of 2018 to hand pick the Top Ten Best Sneaker Collaboration of 2018, but as expected it wasn’t easy. Collaborations dominated 2018, from people like Virgil Abloh to Union Los Angeles who got the chance to collaborate with Nike and Jordan.
Top 10 Ranked Sneakers of 2018:
1. Off-White x Air Jordan “UNC”
Lets go back to May 23rd, 2018 when the Off-White x Jordan 1 released via Nike SNKRS App. Just like the Chicago, Virgil Abloh deconstructed the Air Jordan 1 and made it into a UNC OG colorway. So far, three colorways have released Chicago Red, Canvas White and now UNC Blue, these Jordan 1s will be the third colorway designed by Virgil Abloh. As the name suggested the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 comes in the OG color way. That vibrant University North Carolina Blue contrasts nicely against the white mesh. If you take a closer look, the shoe is constructed in a combination of leather, suede and mesh throughout. The shoe will come with a total of four different laces. The sneaker is finished off the iconic “AIR” logo on the mid sole and the cable tie.

2. Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 97
The sneaker was released back in March 26th of 2018. This colorway colorway was designed by Sean Wotherspoon himself. During construction, Sean was inspired by thrift stores and transitioned his inspiration onto the uppers of the Air Max 97. The Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 97 is a fusion of two iconic silhouettes. In the Vote Forward event, Wotherspoon found out his shoe was the winner of 2017. The shoe is featuring a multicolored corduroy upper; Sean utilized this material specifically to allow for fraying overtime which, as he says, “adds to the character.” The Wotherspoons shoe include small Swoosh branding, corduroy pull tabs, interchangeable tongue patches and four extra laces.
The most important take away from this is that Sean Wotherspoon was the first reseller to collaborate on a Nike shoe. Which indicates that major brands like Nike, Adidas, Jordan, etc. are taking notice to the influence that reseller & sneaker culture is having on society.

Back in august of 2005 one of the most hyped Nike SB Dunk Low releases was the Diamond Supply Co. “Tiffany” colorway. The Nike SB’s have been making a serious come back this year. The shoe features a crocodile skin “Canary Yellow” leather exterior with a silver removable swoosh that has the Iconic Diamond blue tone underneath; in addition too “Diamond” branding on the tongue and heel tabs of the shoe.
